that’s a valid point.
It’s horrible to think God can only stand to look at me through Jesus, but otherwise I’m a disgusting and hideous person.
My worth and my beauty to God is not attained through the blood of Jesus, it’s revealed through the blood of Jesus.
Jesus reveals how good looking I am to the Father, He doesn’t make me bearable for Him to look at.
To say that is to say that every unbeliever on this planet looks disgusting to God, which explains why they are piling into your churches trying to find Him. People want to hear how amazing they are, not how much they suck.
Current thoughts:
It’s hurtful and frustrating to try to correct people because you genuinely care about them and want them to know the truth about the things they believe, and they treat you like you are just one of those people who goes around wanting to argue and pick on things and cause division.
Sometimes it makes me want to say, “F*** it! Keep doing the pointless things you are doing then!”
I enjoy my life tremendously and my enjoyment of life is not dependent on whether you believe what I say or not, or whether you like me. I don’t care about either, though, yeah, it s nice to be liked.
But I say what I say so you can enjoy life as well, because I’ve believed a lot of the things some of you believe, and no matter how much I thought I enjoyed life because I LOVED JESUS! I was a miserable person. I just never realized it until I seen my life from a different perspective.
As much as it sucks, I honestly don’t know how to stop preaching this message. Got any tips? hahahaha! :]

Life is a FREE* gift!
Venting :].
A Christian doesn’t commit sin. A Christian cannot sin. - 1 John 3:9.
You can’t twist scripture if you repeat exactly what it says, right? That’s exactly what it says. Go read it for yourself.
I get accused frequently of twisting scripture and taking it out of context. Can I just say L.O.L. to that?
I honestly only read what it says and I don’t add life experiences to the mix to make it say things that match what I’ve seen or done like a lot of people do. I used to do that.
I used to say I was a sinner because I sinned, I used to say God picked and choosed who got healed because I’ve prayed for people and they didn’t get healed. People say, “Don’t add to scripture!” Yet they will blindly ADD their life experiences to scripture and judge the Bible through what they’ve done. Adding life experiences to scripture is still adding to scripture.
I’ve yet to see every person healed that I lay hands on. yet I will say with confidence that Jesus heals all, because that’s what scripture says.
I’ve yet to “stop sinning”, yet I will say that I’m not a sinner, I am perfect and righteous 24/7, because that’s what scripture says.
It’s amazing and scary how often Christians will add fine print, disclaimers, and catches where scripture added none.
“Well, we can’t say that people aren’t sinners, because they might take that as us endorsing sin!”
“Well, we can’t tell sinners that Jesus forgives them unless they repeat our prayer and and fill out our info card.”
Really? Who gave you the right to judge how a person might receive a message, and more so to keep Truth and freedom from them because you’re paranoid that they might abuse it?
Jesus never went to heal a sinner and said, “Hey, I’d love to heal you, but you might mistake this kindness as me endorsing your lifestyle, so I’m gonna have to pass.”
What part of “free gift” got missed? You aren’t allowed to add fine prints and conditions on a free gift that’s not even from you.
That would be like if I ordered a TV off of Ebay and the mailman comes to deliver it, but says, “Hey, I was going to bring you the TV, but I was worried you might watch porn on it, so I decided that you shouldn’t have it.”
No, it’s payed for, which makes it MINE. The only thing the mailman is there to do is deliver my package and show me where to sign. If I decided to watch porn on that TV, it’s my choice to do so because it belongs to me. He has nothing to say about it. Does that make watching porn okay? Does it mean that the mailman and Samsung are now endorsing a porn addiction? Not in any way whatsoever!
We are the deliverers of the good news. We deliver the Kingdom of God to people and show them where to sign. And just like a mailman cannot pick and choose who he delivers mail to, based on personal issues or biases with a person, neither can we pick and choose who we deliver this gospel message to, based on their lifestyle, or how we ASSUME they might receive it, or what they might do with it.
The Bible says we aren’t sinners. If I tell somebody that and they take that as endorsement to go sin, I will let them know that it’s not. “How can we who have died to sin, live in it any longer?” (Romans 6:1).
How much clearer can it get? I don’t have to add to scripture, it’s written plainly.
If they still decide to abuse this gift and use it as a means to sin, that’s on them, not me. I was told to make disciples, not slaves. I was called to be a brother, not a dictator.
People are so scared to preach something that’s actually good news and free, because they fear that it might be “prosperity” and is just feeding people’s itching ears with “feel good” nonsense. I understand all of that, but to hell with that ridiculous paranoia that causes Christians to keep people in bondage.
You don’t have to stand on street corners and protest people to be judging them. If you have the opportunity to set someone free but don’t because of how you THINK they might respond, you just judged them.
Stop all the nonsense. Preach Jesus, preach Truth, set people free. No fine print. No catches. No asterisks. It’s GOOD NEWS. It’s FREE. Stop perverting the goodness of the gospel with your pre-judgments and paranoia. (And yes, that goes for me as well)
I’m just wondering why so many preachers treat church like a business, believers like customers, and Christ like a whore.
why tithing has become more like gambling on the believer’s end, and money laundering on the preacher’s end.
why God the Father is made to sound more like the GodFather.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think the Mafia had a new front.
Anyone?
You have taken me so far from that mess I was in.
”The beauty of this life is that we are all screw ups. We are all sinners. But that we are all equally redeemed in God’s eyes. Because God only has eyes for us. :).” - Facebook post from me on Sep. 22nd, 2009
I wrote that 2 1/2 weeks before I found out about the finished work of the cross, was set free from religious works, and learned that I wasn’t a sinner anymore. My life has never been the same since.
I will never stop trying to convince you of that same Truth that set me free once and for all.
To the wretches and sinners
If I was in a love relationship with a girl, and after years of being in it she thought her existence was disgusting to me, and felt unworthy and ashamed around me, and felt like every time she did something disappointing I expected her to come crawling back begging for forgiveness, I would feel like a horrible boyfriend.
Am I not supposed to show her how much she is worth, and reassure her and make her confident that she is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid eyes on?
God forbid I ever get married and my wife walks around feeling like anything less than perfect.
What’s my point? How can we be with God for years and years and still feel like unworthy, wretched sinners who He can barely look at unless Jesus stands in front of us flailing His arms back and forth to block our hideousness from Him?
How do you think that makes Him feel? He wants to reassure us and make us confident that we are the most beautiful thing He’s ever seen, but many people keep insisting that they are the worst thing He’s ever created.
Stop with your useless false humility.
Stop. And appreciate what God says about you.
He thinks I am perfect, I will never consider myself less than that.
He thinks you are perfect, will you continue insisting you are not?
